The NeuroMuscular Taping Neurology Course is an internationally recognized training program designed to equip healthcare professionals with advanced clinical skills in evidence-informed neurological rehabilitation. Combining scientific principles with intensive hands-on practice, the course develops competency in decompression taping, clinical reasoning and patient-specific treatment strategies for individuals with neurological and neuromuscular disorders.
Why Specialized Training in Neurological Rehabilitation Matters
Neurological rehabilitation requires healthcare professionals to integrate scientific knowledge with advanced clinical reasoning and practical treatment skills. The NeuroMuscular Taping Neurology Course has been developed to provide clinicians with a structured, evidence-informed educational pathway that combines neurophysiology, biomechanics and decompression-based rehabilitation techniques. Designed for physicians, neurologists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals, the course emphasizes safe, reproducible and patient-centred clinical applications.
Furthermore, participants gain practical experience through supervised hands-on training while developing the ability to select treatment strategies based on individual patient assessment and functional goals. Rather than focusing solely on taping techniques, the program promotes clinical decision-making, problem-solving and multidisciplinary rehabilitation principles. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, the NeuroMuscular Taping Neurology Course prepares healthcare professionals to confidently incorporate NeuroMuscular Taping (NMT) into neurological rehabilitation and improve patient outcomes across a wide range of clinical conditions.
Join us in Bali this 21 to 29 August 2025 for an intensive, hands-on training event hosted by the NeuroMuscular Taping (NMT) Institute in collaboration with the Indonesian NMT Foundation Neurology Teaching Unit. This program offers both foundational and advanced certification courses in NeuroMuscular Taping for neurological rehabilitation, designed for medical professionals seeking to enhance their clinical skills with evidence-based, non-invasive taping techniques. With a strong emphasis on practical application, neurophysiological principles, and protocol-driven treatment strategies, this event represents a key opportunity for healthcare providers across Eastern Indonesia and beyond to advance their practice and improve patient outcomes.
The NeuroMuscular Taping (NMT) Institute, in collaboration with the Indonesian NMT Foundation Neurology Teaching Unit, is pleased to announce two upcoming training events in Bali, Indonesia. These courses form part of the basic foundational and specialized NMT training programs tailored for medical professionals and neurology specialists. These events represent a significant opportunity for clinical skill development and capacity building in Eastern Indonesia, aimed at strengthening rehabilitation practices and expanding access to evidence-based neurological care.

Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes
This two-stage course combines Stage 1: Upper Extremities and Cervical Region and Stage 2: Lower Extremities and Lumbar Region, with a strong emphasis on both theory and practical skill development. This hands-on training program is tailored for medical professionals working in neurology, neuro-rehabilitation, physical therapy, and related fields seeking to deepen their understanding and practical competence in evidence-based taping techniques. Participants will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the theory, history, and clinical evolution of NeuroMuscular Taping.
- Learn to identify and apply different taping methods based on patient-specific objectives and neurophysiological principles.
- Understand the cutaneous anatomy and skin elasticity pathways (MEL – Major Elasticity Lines) critical for accurate and effective taping applications.
- Differentiate acute, post-acute, and functional treatment protocols and their relevance in neurological recovery.
- Explore the mechanisms of action of NMT in the management of acute and chronic pain conditions specific to the upper and lower limbs.
- Master tape cutting techniques and manual applications tailored to distinct physiological goals (decompression, proprioceptive input, drainage support, etc.).
- Apply protocol-driven techniques for common neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, including knee dysfunctions, shoulder limitations, and spinal imbalance.
- Learn the core NMT techniques to improve patient outcomes in both outpatient clinics and hospital-based care.
This intensive course is designed to enhance manual proficiency, therapeutic reasoning, and clinical decision-making, preparing participants to integrate NMT into neurological rehabilitation strategies effectively and confidently.

Advanced NeuroMuscular Taping for Neurology
Specialization Course | Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, 26 to 29 August 2025
Building upon the foundational skills taught in the Basic NMT Course, the Advanced NeuroMuscular Taping (NMT) Neurology Specialization is a comprehensive, hands-on training designed for clinicians managing patients with neurological trauma, degenerative disorders, and neuropathic pain syndromes. This course equips participants with refined taping protocols and deeper theoretical understanding to support recovery in the acute, post-acute, and functional phases of rehabilitation.
Participants will explore precise protocoled applications of NMT in the management of central and peripheral nervous system disorders. Through case-based instruction and clinical reasoning sessions, practitioners will learn how to apply NMT to improve vascular and lymphatic drainage, modulate spasticity and muscle tension, reduce neuropathic and nociceptive pain, and support neuroplasticity and joint mobility. Emphasis will be placed on the biomechanical treatment of nerve compression syndromes, muscular cramping, and functional movement impairments common in neurological patients.
Foundations of NeuroMuscular Taping in Neurology
This advanced specialization allows participants to:
- Follow the evolution of the NeuroMuscular Taping methodology for neurological dysfunction, including post-stroke, neurodegenerative, and trauma-related conditions.
- Review clinical objectives and biomechanical mechanisms of NMT applications in central and peripheral nerve disorders.
- Analyze the anatomical and elastic properties of cutaneous and musculoskeletal tissues for improved clinical outcomes.
- Apply NMT protocols for the treatment of nerve compression syndromes, cramping, spasticity, and postural deficits.
- Understand the distinct NMT treatment strategies tailored for each neurological condition and rehabilitation phase (acute, post-acute, functional).
- Integrate NMT into care for patients with:
- Learn specialized tape-cutting and application techniques adapted for muscle, tendon, and joint-specific objectives.
- Develop protocol-based interventions for immobilized patients, those with mobility disorders, and inpatient/outpatient stroke rehabilitation.
